Ever since 1960, when the novel and film Where The Boys Are became a smash hit and convinced a generation of frat boys that bands of attractive coeds were roaming the beaches of Florida looking for romance, Americans have been flocking to beach resorts during their Easter vacation for what has come to be known as Spring Break. What followed was a shifting pattern of yearly migrations, as locals in the most popular beach towns got fed up with the marauding hordes of festive college kids and chased them to the next unfortunate stretch of sand. When the collegiate crowd leaves town, the more welcome wave of family travelers always follows in their wake, and Spring Break has become a major yearly travel event, not only in beach resort towns of America’s Atlantic coast, but nationwide and even increasingly internationally. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite Spring Break travel memories!
